Upgrade and Refresher Course

When you start a professional training course, you can choose to do an upgrade, a skills assessment, a pre-qualification, a refresher course or an update.

Who can benefit from an upgrade?

The upgrade enters into the system of continuing education. Adults who wish to pursue an upgrade must therefore have left the initial training.

The upgrade can be carried out according to the wishes of the employee or the job seeker:

* Because it identified a need during a skills assessment;

* Because he feels uncomfortable in one of the tasks entrusted to him;

* Because, to access a job, he does not have the level in an area.

The upgrade can also be carried out at the request of the company:

* Because it identified gaps in one of its employees;

* Because it wants to move an employee to another department, entrust him with new responsibilities.

Some organizations that provide upgrade fixed a minimum age of 17 years.

Professional continuing education: what is an upgrade?

Continuing professional upgrade training is an opportunity to deepen your professional culture, whether general or technical. Depending on your basic skills, your starting level (beginner, intermediate, confirmed), the upgrade will be more or less long and more or less intense.

Most organizations offering upgrades work either in distance education or in evening classes. In this case, you will have to carry out your refresher training outside of your working time, on the basis of documents provided to you by the organization.

Upgrades generally relate to:

* Language: spelling, grammar, synthesis ability...

* Learning the basics of management, accounting, management...

* Communication: speaking in front of an audience, communicating with employees...

* The secretariat: write letters, answer the phone...

Upgrading does not require a prior qualification, but basic knowledge, forgotten or never used, that continuous training will revive.

Advice: do not be embarrassed! Do not get along with grammar and spelling? Do not worry about what your colleagues will think, or even your employees if you are an entrepreneur. 

Once the upgrade is completed, you will no longer feel this disability.
