Distance Educator

The distance educator is in charge to promote the learning process and provide educational support. To do this, courses are available to students in writing. However, these can also be organized into sessions established by the teacher. To do this, the instructor and the learners can benefit from a common tool of distance education called e-learning platform.

Schools and distance education centers recruit instructors whose mission is to create a training aid relationship with the student. We can also name them distance "tutor", "teacher", "guide". These will need to advance the learner in the training he has chosen.

These instructors will bring real added value through support:

* methodological;

* to understanding;

* to evaluation (progress, adjustment, learning assessment);

* to motivation.

So they will follow the student and support him throughout his training course. To do this, there may be multiple operating modes, namely a support and/or assistance:

* by exchange of mails or phone;

* by forum animated by the trainer;

* by the FAQ: answers given by the instructor to questions posed by the students;

* by video training: the instructor comes face to learners connected via the Internet on a date and at a specific time.

The instructor can also film and broadcast his course on the Internet through a course studio.

Other functions of the distance educator

The distance instructor can also have other functions, namely:

* a function of expertise in order to provide students with the necessary syntheses in terms of knowledge;

* a technical tutorial function in the use of technology tools;

* a design function for configuration of the device before its implementation and updating.

The instructor is also instructional designer. He can design training modules to be implemented on the platform. He also chooses the various educational resources: creation of training materials, multiple choice index card, course complement (video, simulation, explanation diagram).
