MBAs accreditation: a guarantee of quality.
The MBA designation is not protected. State recognition is not enough to guarantee the quality of education.
It is therefore preferable to ensure that the MBA is accredited by one of the three internationally recognized organizations: AACSB, AMBA and EFMD.
MBA accreditation: AACSB
The Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) is an American label that certifies the quality of more than 500 schools worldwide, 80% of them in the United States.
The criteria for accreditation are as follows:
* recruitment of students,
* academic level of professors,
* evaluation methods,
* teaching methods.
The list of institutions that have obtained the AACSB accreditation is available on the website: www.aacsb.edu
AMBA, the small British accreditation
The AMBA, the Association of MBA, is an organization that has remained very European. The AMBA is very rare in the United States and does not compete with the AACSB.
In Europe, the label remains a true guarantee of quality. The criteria for accreditation are as follows:
* organizing institution,
* content and organization of programs,
* faculty level,
* curriculum of admitted pupils,
* follow-up of graduates.
The list of institutions that have obtained AMBA accreditation is available on the website: www.mbaworld.com
The EFMD and the European label Equis
The EFMD, European Quality Improvement System, accredits institutions with its label: the European certificate Equis. It is the youngest of the labels, it exists since 1998.
The Equis label of the EFMD is recognized worldwide and rivals the famous AACSB. The criteria for accreditation are as follows:
* synthesis of excellence academic,
* pedagogical innovation,
* relations with companies,
* international opening.
The list of institutions that have obtained EQUIS accreditation is available on the website: www.efmd.org
