How to make career in medicine?

For careers in the medical field, there are many professions (not exhaustive list), namely:

* practitioners in medicine: doctor, specialist (gynecologist, ophthalmologist, cardiologist), allergist, anesthesiologist, masseur, midwife, etc. ;

* nursing (anesthetist, in the operating room, psychiatry, home), etc. ;

* related professions to medicine: acupuncture, health care assistant, assistant, auxiliary childcare or life, medic, lab technician, radiologist, etc. ;

* pharmacy: pharmacist, pharmacy agent, preparator, biopharmacien, etc. ;

* social administration and hospital authorities: administrative officer, administrative framework, director, manager, head of admissions, medical secretary.

With what employer?

Medical career allows depend on different employers:

* You depend on the Ministry of Health for employers in the public service: hospitals, nursing or convalescent homes.

* The private for: clinics, hospitals, nursing or rest homes with a private status.

Medical career may also be exercised:

* liberal in function depending on the profession: doctor, specialist, nurse, masseur, etc. ;

* in the army, in the clinical and pharmaceutical industry, and humanitarian.

Career planning

Medical career can therefore be done in the private sector, but it is found most often in the public sector.

The public service recruits by competition, candidates will be associated with a clearly defined function.

They are classified by level of education and in three categories:

* class A: holds a high school diploma + 3 minimum for management positions,

* class B: have at least the high school diploma, for some, a professional career diploma (nurse)

* class C: open the BEP - CAP or without diploma requirement for some jobs, it regards the implementing employment.
