Considered mistakenly as a siding, the craft industry is one of the most dynamic sectors of the economy. Over a decade, the number of enterprises increased quickly, which created many new jobs. The craft sector is mainly a highly diversified sector with hundreds occupations in four sectors: construction, services, manufacturing and food. Therefore many opportunities are offered. Some jobs are urgently looking for skilled young people like plumbing, electricity and construction in general, but also the jobs like butchery, bakery...

The craft industry: an international openness


Electrician, confectioner or florist: as many people, each day, put their skills and know-how at the service of individuals next to their homes (a third of the craftsmen work in rural areas), but also at the other side of the world.

Indeed, billions dollars are realized every year thanks to exports. This figure is expected to continue to rise in the next years as a result of the global reach of know-how and the emergence of a new affluent clientele in different countries. For young craftsmen who are attracted by an international career, it is important to acquire language skills.

Craftsmen: entrepreneurs in their own right


Most craft enterprises are  small-scale: half of them are limited to one or two people. 

Craftsmen are very often true entrepreneurs and must have in addition to their technical skills, a true sense of entrepreneurship. Indeed, to build a customer groups, to make estimates, to manage employees: all this requires skills in management and accounting. 

Not to mention that to be known today, it is necessary to have a website. If it is demanding enough, this independence can also be synonymous with greater freedom and creativity...
