The internal e-consultant is able to develop a diagnosis and has proven knowledge in the field of new information and communication technologies such as the principles and modalities of the web, the IT supply market. Finally, he must have a great command of office software and internet tools, project management and planning.
The internal e-consultant ensures the proper functioning of the organization and respects an alignment line. He has in mind the experience and the history of the company and must be able to understand its activities and its strategy.
The internal e-consultant is attached to the General Management and the Information Systems Department, to which he reports his findings. He has no formal and direct authority on the implementation of changes, only the leader makes the decisions. Nevertheless, his technical capabilities give him an operational influence.

Training to become an internal e-consultant
Internal e-consultants are usually graduates of an engineering or business school. They may also hold a master's degree in e-commerce or e-business.

Opportunities
Firms recruit more and more young internal e-consultants at the end of their training. If he is hired in a large structure, he will get a full time. He is sometimes recruited to this post following an experience in the company, sometimes simply for his skills.
