What does MBA training bring to a career?

The MBA is a training that attracts more and more students each year. The younger ones choose the full-time MBA. As for the executives, they go to the Executive MBA. But what does training really bring?

The MBA is organized on the same model as business schools. The program consists of general courses such as accounting, finance, mathematics, English...

An MBA offers a deeper knowledge developed in a business school.

* The first year upgrades all candidates in the core subjects. This first year consists of methodologies, behavioral studies and know-how sharing.

* The second year is occupied by a specialization in a field such as marketing, communication or finance.

Other specificities of the MBA training: the courses are delivered in English and the teachers are often professionals coming from the four corners of the planet.

Post-MBA management

Taking advantage of an MBA is as difficult as integrating a good MBA

The MBA is obtained in one or two years. Long training, often accompanied by sacrifices. That is why, once the training is over, the candidates must do everything possible to benefit from their MBA.

Have a professional project

It is not after graduation that one gets organized but before starting the training. An MBA must be part of a thoughtful professional project.

Those who do not wish to change company should inquire about their career development opportunities with their direct supervisor or human resources department.

The MBA is an international degree that offers international openings. The candidate must therefore be open to business travel and even accept expatriation.

Namely: The MBA prepares for careers in multinationals, investment banks and consulting firms. An MBA training is not suitable for working in small or medium-sized companies, nor to create or take over a company.

Spreading acquired skills

Everyone has heard of the MBA but few know the content and value of the training. The candidate must therefore inform his company or his future employers about the usefulness of an MBA:

* Improve turnover.

* Develop marketing strategies.

* Increase customer portfolio.

* Make the company known internationally.

After MBA training: making the investment profitable

At the end of an MBA, graduates must:

* Preserve and cultivate their network: it is important to stay in touch with all the promotion, teachers and companies in which the internships have been carried out.

* Negotiate their return to their company: do not hesitate to ask to change jobs or promotion. Applicants may also claim an increase in salary.

* Redo his resume: if the future prospects are reduced in the current company, one must look elsewhere! A full CV is required. The MBA must appear on the CV as well as the internships and the acquired knowledge.

Good to know: Good institutions have networks in which applicants can apply. To facilitate the hiring of candidates, presentations of companies are organized within schools.
